These last few weeks have been crazy overwhelming for me. I'm sure a lot of you can relate, it's always something! Between moving brokerages, selling my partnership in Sherpa, Kylee going into Jr. High and taking on a mentor program at RealtyONE, I've been able to interview and connect with some awesome ladies.
As the weeks go by, I'm more clear than ever. This week, I've decided to highlight my dear friend Constance Richan. I met Constance at the Salt Lake Board of Realtors in 2009 maybe... on a Realtor tour that she was hosting. (She is a client care manager for Alpine Home Warranty and one of the best affiliates in our industry.)
I was so nervous this particular day because it was my first time on tour and I was all by myself. The moment Constance welcomed me, I immediately felt at home. Every time I see her at an event, I feel at ease. She just has a glow about her. When she was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, it shook our real estate family.
It's also helped my family heal as we support her from the sidelines. My step mom Allison has been by Constance's side from day one. As a result, my dad & I benefit from her big heart. I'm excited to share this story with you, I hope you can relate to some of this and share it with anyone you think could use a listen.
The things I learned from this interview are:
Constance was adopted, but she never felt a disconnect. In fact, she was glued to her parent hip all growing up. She's a daddy's girl and mom's care taker. If given the opportunity to experience this life without cancer, she wouldn't take it. Constance finds peace in nature, especially by a beach. Sturgis holds many of her fondest memories. She was single for 18 years until she met her husband, who is now her rock and strength. In her spare time, she makes friends with old ladies getting treatment and tries to make them feel special. Constance is the most authentic person and it's refreshing. Thank you for taking the time, we are fighting for you!
