Seriously though. I've realized my biggest value right now is being authentic. Even if I'm still not quite sure who I AM. It's more about exploring the world. I think the point is; we will never know who we are exactly. It's a journey. I love to surround myself with people who are curious.
The conversations I've been having lately have been incredible. Questions are so powerful! My good friend Craig Oborn, creator of Connect 52, opened my eyes on how crappy of a question asker I was. Haha! Since then, we have been creating some insightful round tables at Impact Hub. What a revelation!
Here are some of my favorite questions so far:
- What is your favorite memory?
- When do you feel the most alive?
- Who relies on you? Do you ever feel resentment?
- What are you most proud of?
- Who is your famous crush?
Craig encourages families to create a blog and ask each other weekly questions. I challenge companies to do it as well! You'll be amazed at the vulnerable answers you will get. People in your circle really do want to connect on a deeper level.
I will warn you though, if we "connect on a deeper level", you will cry. I'm emotional and I tend to make others cry. It's kind of my super hero power. ;)
